Co-Occurring Disorders

Addiction rarely occurs in isolation. Many individuals struggling with substance abuse also suffer from a co-occurring, dual-diagnosis, or underlying mental health condition. At Avery Lane, we address all underlying conditions and concerns related to substance abuse. We provide medical stabilization in our residential levels of care for women requiring medical treatment, detoxification, stabilization, and medication support.

The medical stabilization and medication assessment period includes an assessment from our physicians including our psychiatrist, an overview of all current medications, and GeneSight Genetic Testing to determine which medications would be a proper fit based on your DNA. All assessments allow our medical team to provide proper medical treatment and will direct prescribing of medications. Our assessments support clients who feel unstable on their medications, have failed at least one medication, or are interested in trying medications with the goal of lessening mental health symptoms.
